Service Description

*Touch-Up Appointments need to be approved by your artist, after submitting your appointment request here, please send a photo and description of the tattoo you would like touched up to appts@lmnoplettering.com & you should hear back within a few days. IF you're questioning if you even need a touch up that's a really good sign you don't. Touching up a tattoo too early, or too often will result in uneven healing. Messing with the original ink layout could rearrange the cells that hold your tattoo and negatively affect the quality of the line work. Ideally your tattoo healed normally the first time, and has been healed for 1-3 years before needing a touch up. Areas with high movement or rubbing on clothes like wrists, joints, necks, etc. are more likely to fade, and require a touch up over time. Your chances of fading increase with your activity levels, especially while your tattoo is fresh. After performing thousands of tattoos we believe the optimal touch-up period for fresh tattoos is after one month, so your skin has had plenty of time to regenerate a smooth surface to work with. Your touch up needs to be scheduled between 30-90 days from your original appointment to be done for free. This free touch up is only meant for unplanned emergency fading. If you need to reschedule and fail to reschedule within 48 hours of your booked appointment, you will not be given a second free appointment. If you have paid a deposit, you must cancel or reschedule within 48 hours if you would like a refund. If you fail to notify us soon enough, you forfeit your deposit. Forfeited deposits will be used to compensate the artist for traveling, and preparing for your appointment. WHEN NOT TO BOOK A TOUCH-UP: -Your tattoo looks fine, just lighter than when it was fresh (that's supposed to happen, just apply skin moisturizer regularly to your tattoo to darken it's appearance). -You will be traveling, exposing your skin to heavy sweating, sun/sunburn or swimming. -Some detail has started to lighten but the piece is overall doing well (like a fine piece of jewelry your tattoo could accumulate nicks and dings but is still a fine piece of art). YOU WILL KNOW IT'S TIME FOR A TOUCH-UP WHEN: -Your tattoo is healed, your skin is not peeling, and the tattoo appears to be more than 50% dissolved (this is rare!) -There's almost no more ink defining the tattoo. We can only do touch ups on tattoos done by artists at LMNOP. DO NOT BOOK A TOUCH UP IF WE'VE NEVER MET!
